Ketchikan Walking Map
Every downtown sight, restaurant and shop we cover, with walking times from the cruise docks.
Pick the berth your ship is at, then tap a numbered pin to follow the walk. Drag to pan, tilt or turn with two fingers or a right-drag, and switch to 2D for a flat map. Times are our estimates at an easy pace; from Ward Cove take the bus or water shuttle into town first, and the totem parks at Saxman and Totem Bight need a bus or taxi. Building heights are approximate. Elevation: USGS 3D Elevation Program. Streets, buildings and docks © OpenStreetMap contributors, via Overture Maps.
Downtown Ketchikan is a narrow strip between the Tongass Narrows and the hillside. The four city berths line Front Street, and Creek Street, the museums and the Totem Heritage Center are a short, mostly flat walk south and east. From the top of Creek Street, the Married Man’s Trail stairway climbs into the hillside, and the path to the Totem Heritage Center passes the salmon ladder and crosses Ketchikan Creek; the stairs are not wheelchair accessible. Each place below shows its walking time from Berth 2; Show on map traces the route on the 3D map.
