Ketchikan Times is edited by Greg Peters, who reviews every guide before it’s published.

How we research

We build each guide from primary sources: the City of Ketchikan, the Ketchikan Gateway Borough, the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, the US Forest Service, Alaska State Parks and the businesses themselves. Guides list their sources.

We don’t claim to have tested products or tours unless we actually have. Where we haven’t, we say what our picks are based on.

Ship schedules

Ship times come from the published Cruise Line Agencies of Alaska schedule. Ships can change plans; your cruise line has the final word.

Updates

Each guide shows when it was last updated. We review the main guides before every cruise season and when something changes.

Corrections
